Indian Railways: Product Launch
India launched its first hydrogen-powered passenger train on the 89-km Jind-Sonipat railway route in Haryana. The 10-coach trainset has a capacity of 2,600 passengers and is described as the world's largest-capacity hydrogen train. It operates at 75 km/h with a design speed of 110 km/h, powered by two 1,600 hp power cars.
