Bitget has committed itself to operating as a regulated-adjacent multi-asset venue, not a crypto exchange that happens to carry some traditional products. Launching options on US-listed equities, single-leg calls and puts to start, with multi-leg strategies signaled, means the platform now has to maintain real-time options pricing infrastructure, manage premium settlement, and handle the jurisdictional compliance stack that comes with derivatives on US securities. That is a materially different operational posture than tokenized-stock exposure, which can be structured to sit closer to crypto's existing compliance frameworks. The related-signal set here is thin for direct comparisons: the 12 product launches we tracked in the same 90-day window are largely unrelated sectors. AR hardware, neurotech, automotive, GTA VI. The more relevant context is structural: crypto venues globally have been racing to absorb traditional-market instruments since tokenized equities gained traction in 2024–25, and Bitget's move is the most aggressive step yet in that convergence arc. No direct exchange-peer comparable in the set, which itself is a signal, the category is not yet crowded at this product layer. Companies reaching this stage of multi-asset convergence in the crypto-to-TradFi corridor face increasing demand for leadership across regulatory operations (derivatives licensing, cross-border compliance), product management at the seam between options market microstructure and crypto UX, and risk functions capable of pricing and margining equity derivatives at retail scale.
