Skyroot crossed Rs 100 crore in revenue before firing a single commercial rocket, the entire FY26 top line came from manufacturing and selling aerospace components: composite structures, propulsion systems, payload adaptors, motor cases. That is a materially different business posture than a launch startup burning capital in development silence. It means Skyroot has already built a paying customer base in space systems hardware, which functions as both a cash bridge and a proof-of-production that de-risks the Vikram-I launch narrative for investors. The Rs 252 crore in customer advances on the balance sheet signals that downstream customers, satellite operators, likely including government agencies, have already committed capital ahead of first flight. The operational commitment now is to run two revenue lines simultaneously: a manufacturing business with its own delivery cadence and a launch programme with its own test, regulatory, and range-access demands. Companies reaching this stage of dual-track operations, hardware manufacturing at commercial scale concurrent with a first orbital launch programme, face concentrated demand for programme management leadership able to hold schedule across two production lines, commercial leadership experienced in government and institutional procurement, and regulatory operations capability across range access, launch licensing, and export control.
